Frustration   Isolation    Inner conflict     Anger     Sadness     Incomplete

The feelings experienced by men and women in response to childlessness are wide ranging and complex, both in intensity and time frame. Infertility can have a profoundly traumatic effect on our emotional well- being. Like most suffering in life, it is not something we ever thought would happen to us. It is a raw and painful experience which makes a mockery of all our hopes and dreams and can place an enormous strain on our relationships.

As most of us hope to be parents some day, we grieve deeply when we discover we cannot have children. Although it is important to be honest and acknowledge our grief and disappointment it can be difficult to do so. Admitting these feelings to one’s self are hard enough – talking about them to others can be harder still because it makes them real.

Whether trying to come to terms with infertility or undergoing the emotional roller coaster of infertility treatment, including IVF, WIPCS offers a supportive environment to talk about your feelings and the impact of this distressing experience on your daily life. You don’t have to face it alone – we’re here for you.
